How I Spent My Time During Lockdown

Chennai had entered into its lockdown in the end of March, due to the Novel Coronavirus, which had been spread from China. Everything came to a standstill, economics crashing, people lost their jobs and the whole world had plunged into darkness. There was gloom all over the world as many had lost their lives. We students had to wait for the school to reopen to complete our board exams which was temporarily terminated. We were all quarantined at home, only adults who are healthy were allowed to go out outdoors with proper precautionary measures following the guidelines by wearing a mask and keeping social distance. While for me it was the most boring time. I missed my school and my friends. But I tried to keep myself occupied by developing my hobbies. I was interested in learning about the different models of phones and cars. I was also interested in photography, making videos and editing them to bring it to perfection. My mother the most lovable person in the world to me and supports me in everything I do. I would help in doing small chores at home and trying to be responsible. I also helped in making videos for mother’s online classes using the XRecorder app. I also have a sister who is much younger studying in STD 4, we both play with each other. She attends online classes all by herself, her classes begins at 9 to 9.45am and the next class begins at 10 to 10.45am, she attends actively and completes her notes on time. Me and my father share a good rapport with each other, he treats me like a friend and advices me on how to use my time creatively, I follow his advice and I know that whatever he says is for my good. I like watching football as I am an ardent fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, I keep track of all his matches and watch them keenly. I look up to him as a role model and try to imitate him in the hospitality, he shows towards the needy and the poor. I also have a dog who is a beige Labrador named Toby, he is friendly and affectionate, He is the best pet that I have had so far. I play with him and teach him some commands Then as days passed, we began to have online classes as I am in year 12, I attend my classes and try to complete my assignments to be prepared for my board exams which will be fast approaching. This pandemic has taught us a valuable lesson to be careful with whatever resources we have, to face difficulties in life no matter what may come and to be cautious about our health and surroundings. A small virus has kept us indoors but I am sure that even this will pass on and life will return back to normal. I hope and pray that this virus disappears from this world through a vaccine. This is how I spent my lockdown.
